Hi people who I hope still read my blog.

Look at me, coming after a month after announcing I'm going to be doing NaPoWriMo. It turned out, I couldn't do it. It was due to part laziness, part busy schedule. I had my exams, other writings, and internships. I really shouldn't be giving excuses, I broke a tradition of three years! Ah.

I thought I'll leave an update of sorts. And(hopefully)
not take another hiatus.

What have I been doing lately?
I currently started my internship at this awesome newspaper house. I've been wanting to intern here for some years now, so this is a happy felling XD
Today is World Laughter Day, by the way. So, laugh out all you can.

I've been reading a lot (need to start striking out books in of the reading challenge) April has been a month of great books! I discovered Pandora by Jilly Cooper, Michael Crichton, Kiss of Deception(this really nice book), Ruskin Bond. also visited a art gallery and saw some of the works by my favorite Indian artists. It is an otherworldly feeling when you see a work by someone so talented and has created masterpieces.

I've lately been seized by an overwhelming urge to paint. Though every time I take out my drawing book I cannot go further than a few lines. Meh.

Hopefully May is more productive. And I start making my usual kind of blog posts.

Until then :P

  1. Isn't it awful when you get really excited about a project- painting or writing or whatever but just can't get anything to actually come out?

  2. I never completed NaNoWriMo and I tried it 2 times. It sucks. :(

  3. It sounds like you have been doing some good things! I am glad you were able to get your internship at the place where you really wanted to work, so I hope that continues to work out for you ^^ And even though Napo didn't happen, I like that reading did. I have been working hard at that challenge too!

    1. It is. I got my first byline today! So, really thrilled about it.

  4. NaPo may not have worked too well, but getting an internship is great! Especially at the place you wanted! Hope it goes well!!

And my advice for painting would be... just paint. Don't wait for the perfect moment!

    1. That is actually good advice. I sat day yesterday to just draw no matter what crazy thing. It was rather crazy XD Maybe I'll post a picture of it sometime.

  5. Good luck with your internship, hope it goes well!
I don`t know much about art, but my boyfriend loves it and lately he has been showing me the art world and I must say I like it, as I like the painting you posted in this post, it is such a great work, I especially like the lighting and the expression on that womans` face.

    1. Hi Monika! I checked out your boyfriend's works. He is really good at abstract!
Oh, that is by Raja Ravi Varma. His paintings are amazing!

  6. I remember when I have my internship in journalism, it was one of the best months in my life. I was so lucky to end up with trully great team. So enjoy yours.
And I can totally relate to that laughter thought. You might also like this one (to me it's very relatable as well): [img][/img]
