#18. Why writers write

They say eye is the door to the heart,
they show the tears, the smile on your lips,
the anger in your blood, even the pain in your soul.
Yet why do humans find it so hard to let
their emotions been shown?
Eyes no longer transparent,  no longer mirror
to the word the heart whispers.

Emotions are also words,  feelings
that do not find a way through eyes.
Then how do we make the world see,
the craze in our mind?
Then we do rather than show,
Channeling the words in our work.
Maybe that’s why writers write.
